The goal for this pen knife was to create an heirloom quality piece that would be equally at home in the wood shop or in the office. Designed to stand up to rough treatment without losing any of its grace. Suitable for woodworkers, scrapbookers, fine artists, engineers, and anyone who needs a sharp, reliable knife.
Based on the Veritas Joiner's Knife, this knife features a slimmed down profile that is better suited to high-precision work and individuals with smaller hands. The brass collet accepts standard disposable scalpel blades and provides quick changes to ensure your knife is always sharp.
The handle is made from ultra-hard and durable snakewood. This is one of the most rare and expensive woods available. It features a beautiful natural tortoiseshell pattern. The reddish-brown colour of the snakewood is accented by an ornament in the moody green-brown of Pau Santos (Brazilian Blackheart), another ultra-durable hardwood. The handle is capped on both ends by brass ferrules for additional strength. Finished to a mirror polish and waxed. This item will darken and patina with time to show the legacy of the owner's hand.
